Suspects and Charges
The two suspects involved in the case have been identified as Christopher Cheong, 30, residing on Daly Avenue in New Britain, and Jeffrey Cunningham, 50, residing on Quaker Lane in West Hartford. On Thursday, they responded to a location in Hartford with the intention of engaging in sexual acts with a child under the age of 16.
Cheong and Cunningham have been charged with the following offenses:
- Criminal attempt illegal sexual contact with a minor under 16
- Attempted second-degree sexual assault
- Criminal attempt commercial sexual abuse of a minor
Both suspects have been assigned a bond of $500,000.
