Hyundai Motor America Receives Gold Award for Corporate Social Responsibility

June 10, 2024

Fountain Valley, Calif. – Hyundai Motor America has been honored with a Gold Award for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in HR at the 2024 Merit Awards. This recognition is a result of Hyundai’s philanthropic and youth development program, specifically its Career Experience Program. The program aims to create interest and awareness about the diverse career opportunities available in the automotive industry.

“Hyundai is proud of this recognition from Merit Awards for our Career Experience Program,” said Brandon Ramirez, director of corporate social responsibility, Hyundai Motor America. “This initiative is a testament to Hyundai’s ongoing commitment to our local community and developing the future of the automotive workforce.”

The Career Experience Program, available to middle school and first- and second-year college students, provides an opportunity for students to learn from employees in various departments and participate in workshops that highlight different careers in the automotive industry.

The Merit Awards for human resources evaluated submissions based on leadership, innovation, positive work environment, and other criteria. The judging panel consisted of industry executives, Merit Awards staff, media members, and consultants.
