FARM+ Program: Transitioning to Sustainable and Climate Resilient Agriculture
Funded by the Global Environment Facility and led by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), FARM+ is the second phase of the Financing Agrochemical Reduction and Management (FARM) program. The program will be implemented by the African Development Bank Group, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, UNDP, UN Environment Programme, and the UN Industrial Development Organization in close coordination with FARM, which is led by UNEP and the Global Green Knowledge Platform (GGKP).
Objective
The FARM+ program aims to support countries in transitioning from unsustainable agricultural practices to sustainable and climate resilient agricultural practices. This transition will be achieved by protecting, regenerating, and improving productive landscapes and soil health, as well as reducing soil and water pollution. The program will focus on nature-based solutions and access to adaptation support as measures for adaptation.
