Washington, D.C., September 27, 2024 – The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) has recently launched the Regional Data Portal of the Initiative for the Elimination of Communicable Diseases in the Americas. This innovative tool is designed to support national authorities, technical teams, partners, donors, and stakeholders in monitoring progress and using data to inform actions towards the elimination of more than 30 communicable diseases and related conditions in the Americas by 2030.

The regional data portal provides access to updated information and offers a comprehensive view of progress towards the elimination of multiple diseases such as HIV, malaria, tuberculosis, vaccine-preventable diseases, neglected infectious diseases, and some environmental health risks among others. The platform consolidates data from various sources, including national reports, burden of disease studies, and other reliable sources, to show trends, current situation, and challenges in the progress towards disease elimination in the Americas.
