Brookdale Students Host Event with Stephanie Nicole Parze Foundation
Announced today, Brookdale Community College students are partnering with the Stephanie Nicole Parze Foundation, the leading domestic violence intervention foundation in New Jersey, to host an event on campus. The foundation’s mission is to provide education, intervention, and support to families and individuals dealing with domestic violence, sexual abuse, and missing loved ones.
The event will take place on Monday, April 15, from noon to 3 p.m. at the upper level of the SLC patio. Students and foundation representatives will be present to distribute brochures, engage in discussions about the issue, and raise awareness. Additionally, a bake sale will be held during the event, with all proceeds directly benefiting the foundation.
Special Guest Speaker: Ed Parze
From 1 to 1:30 p.m., Ed Parze, Stephanie’s father and founder of the foundation, will deliver a presentation about Stephanie and the work of the foundation. Ed Parze is an active volunteer and passionate advocate for raising awareness about domestic violence.
Stephanie Parze, a former classmate aged 25, went missing in October 2019. After 87 days, her body was tragically found, revealing that she had been murdered in a domestic violence attack. Stephanie is survived by her parents, Edward and Sharlene, and her sisters, Brianna, Karissa, and Hailey.
The Parze Foundation aims to support as many victims as possible, ensuring they have the opportunity to live the life they deserve. The foundation also seeks to make a difference in the lives of sexual abuse victims and provide support to the families of missing individuals.
