Forbes’ America’s Top Colleges List
Chico State is ranked No. 158 nationally out of 500 higher education institutions in Forbes’ annual list. This places the university in the top third of the schools listed. Additionally, Chico State is the eighth CSU listed, with a total of 11 CSUs appearing in the top 200. The university is also recognized as the 18th-ranked public institution from California.
Forbes’ Best California Colleges Online of 2023
Forbes ranked Chico State at No. 3 in its list of Best California Colleges Online of 2023. This is a significant achievement considering that four out of the top 10 institutions on the list are CSUs. San Diego State, San José State, and Cal State East Bay were also recognized in the rankings. Forbes based their rankings on student outcomes, affordability, student experience, credibility, and the application process.
