Online- Streaming with simultaneous translation in English, Spanish and Portuguese
PAHO invites you to join this webinar aimed at promoting a collective understanding of child and adolescent health and development, based on current research, data, and available opportunities. The main focus is to highlight the importance of adopting a life course approach to shape health trajectories during the first 20 years of life.
An expanded perspective on child health and development is presented in the Lancet Series, “Optimizing Child and Adolescent Health and Development.” This series builds upon previous efforts focused on child survival and includes a wider range of concerns from preconception to adolescence. It also addresses mental health, non-communicable diseases, injuries, trauma, disabilities, and sexual and reproductive rights.
The series introduces a life-course approach to health and human development. It is based on evidence-based interventions and delivery strategies that support health and human development from conception to adulthood. The series presents a conceptual framework of risk factors and opportunities for intervention throughout the lifespan.
