The North Las Vegas Police Department received reports on Oct.12 that a substitute teacher had made “inappropriate” comments in class two days earlier.

An email sent to parents about the incident claimed that Rose encouraged kids “to kiss each other” and used “inappropriate language.”

Robynn Bell, whose son was in the classroom, told the outlet all the students felt “extremely uncomfortable” at the time.

Legacy Traditional Schools said its substitutes are provided from an external agency. The agency was conducting its own investigation into the incident.

Rose has been relieved of her teaching duties, according to the NLVPD. She was booked into the North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center.
