EXETER — The national Coalition on Adult Basic Education recognized state Sen. Debra Altschiller Thursday for exceptional support of adult education.

Altschiller, a Democrat from Stratham, received the organization’s Legislative Champion Award during National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week Sept. 18-22. She represents District 24, which comprises Exeter, Greenland, Hampton, Hampton Falls, North Hampton, Rye and Stratham.
