St. Albans Man Charged with Child Neglect Appears in Court
Kanawha County, West Virginia
KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A St. Albans man charged with child neglect appeared in court Thursday, asking a judge to lower his bond.
St. Albans police were called to Justin Burdette’s home in February to find unsafe conditions. Investigators said the house was filthy, containing piles of animal feces, loose wires, a caving floor and knives laying in reach of children.
Burdette has been in jail with a $10,000 cash bond, but the judge agreed to lower it to $5,000 and home confinement.
Burdette has no prior criminal convictions.
