Volunteers Needed for Adult Literacy Services in Solano County

FAIRFIELD — Solano County Library Adult Literacy Services is seeking volunteers to provide tutoring for adults in Fairfield, Suisun City, Cordelia, Dixon, Rio Vista, Vacaville, and Vallejo. The program offers both in-person and online tutoring options.

According to the Library Services, over 100,000 adults in Solano County face difficulties with reading and writing, which poses challenges in their daily lives and employment. Furthermore, children of parents who struggle with literacy are more likely to experience similar difficulties.
