Santa Fe College Bookstore: Supporting Sustainable Development Goals

Three smiling people dressed in shirts that read 'Santa Fe College' throw small Caesar Saint plush dolls into the air in the Santa Fe College Bookstore.

Santa Fe College Bookstore Overview

Since 1998, the Santa Fe College Bookstore has been a vital part of campus life. Located on the Northwest Campus, the bookstore plays a crucial role in helping students access the right course materials, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).

General Manager Mary Jane Mahoney emphasizes the importance of students getting the correct course materials for their classes when they shop at the Santa Fe College Bookstore, promoting Goal 4.

The bookstore recognizes the financial challenges students face and offers a Bookstore Line of Credit that allows students to use their financial aid to purchase textbooks and supplies, supporting Goal 1 (No Poverty) and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities).

Committed to affordability, the bookstore employs various strategies such as offering different formats of materials, a Price Match Program, and a buyback program. Additionally, it contributes a percentage of its revenue to student scholarships and special programs, aligning with Goal 4 and Goal 10.
