Woman Pleads Guilty to Sexual Exploitation of Child Victims
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City, Mo., woman pleaded guilty in federal court Monday to charges relating to the sexual exploitation of multiple child victims.
The U.S. Department of Justice said 33-year-old Jessica Ann Young pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, following her husband, 36-year-old Houston Wade Young’s Jan. 30, 2024 guilty plea to one count of sexual exploitation of a minor.
During Monday’s plea agreement, court documents revealed that Houston was found to have a cell phone that contained images of child pornography while he was detained at the Vernon County Jail on March 5, 2020. Two days later, law enforcement officers found out that Jessica had sent pornographic images of a 7-year-old boy (identified in court as John Doe 1) to Houston’s cell phone.
Text messages between the couple were found in which the pair discussed sexually abusing John Doe 1. Jessica also admitted she had sexually abused a 13-year-old John Doe 2, on multiple occasions at a home in Clay County.
Court documents said Jessica admitted to recording video of herself abusing John Doe 2.
Houston Young previously had two felony convictions related to the sexual exploitation of children. He was convicted in Wright County, Mo., in 2005 of child molestation and in 2016 was found possessing child pornography in Jackson County.
Jessica is subject to a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in federal prison without parole and up to a sentence of 30 years in federal prison without parole, on each of the two counts.
