Eglin Air Force Base Kicks Off Air Force Assistance Fund Campaign

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. — The Air Force Assistance Fund (AFAF) campaign for this year commenced with a 5k run on March 29.

Supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

  1. Goal 1: No Poverty
  2. Goal 4: Quality Education
  3. Goal 5: Gender Equality
  4. Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities

The AFAF fundraiser aims to provide monetary assistance to eligible Airmen, Guardians, and their families for emergency needs, education assistance, family support, and more.

AFAF partners with four foundations:

  • The General and Mrs. Curtis E. Lemay Foundation
  • The Air Force Villages Charitable Foundation
  • The Air Force Aid Society
  • The Air Force Enlisted Village

Eglin Air Force Base has set a contribution goal of $60,000 for this year’s AFAF campaign. Master Sgt. Ross Caldwell, an AFAF installation project officer, stated that Eglin community members can donate through their group or squadron project officers.
